This was a very hard choice on anet's part but they made the right choice.
The distribution on the economy would of been very bad.

Anyone who did lose this nice drops, got TK done, I do feel sympathy for this was the lesser of two evils.

Just like the nerfs.
ANET screws up and the players suffer.

weeeee lets all praise anet for another job well done.

(ps I didn't play during the time this happened so I didn't loose anything I hope)

Why do people hate nerfs so much?

Is it complacency? Lack of will to adapt? Lack of imagination? The desire for everything to be static and stagnate?

Some people DO take the effort of figuring out personal builds. Of course they dont like it when it no longer works. Because they spent a lot of time and probably gold find the right combinations of skills and items. But that's a differend discussion so lets not continue it here.

this reminds me when prices from everything skyrocketed and black dye was at 26k. Was this basically the same issue except a little opposite?

i almost wish they wouldnt have rolled back and i didnt even play within the time spam of all the fun. It would have been an in game depression, would have been pretty sweet. The Great Depression of Guild Wars. Accept you dont need food or shelter. They shouldve let it play through like a real life event. In real life you cant have roll backs.

It's the sponginess of it all! It's just so unnatural... so... creepy. It hits you in the head and bounces off. Then, when you go to exact vengance, the thing just squishes! No smashing allowed!

Do anyone think this would have caused anyone to get rich? I don't think it would have at all. Thousands of runes and shards were in the hands of people and the trader, if not reset, would have still listed the price really low. At that point people would not buy them at their old prices because everyone around would be tring to get rid of them. Have you ever tried to sell a bundle of wood for 60K?!? OMG no, lol. The supply would have been so astounding that they would be itching to get rid of them in a week and they would have lost out overall... which would have been funny if you think about it. Nah, they had to reset because it was a mistake first and formost, and second it would have just just been cheap... especially to those that worked hard for what they already had. I like to struggle for my items... I find myself bored when I have nothing else to strive for.

Now where is my rollback shirt... and on a side note... put more stuff in for me to grind for. Passes the time.
